I wish everyone would stop saying that!!!! Nobody said the freaking sky is falling. The problem is ALMOST EVERYONE is a better team than us. If you don't see a problem with that, then you are fooling yourself.

Okay, I feel better now. :-)

Spot on. Not only did they beat us, they skull drug us. They set a new school record by rolling up 624 yards on us. Pathetic.

It is not the loss that has people upset, it is the combination of the way they have played the last 4 weeks coupled with the loss.

what was up with the call where FAU was punting, the coverage guy caught the ball clearly with his heels in the end zone, and it got spotted at the 1/2 yard line? The refs saw it clearly, so they had to have a reason for making that call. Is it where the ball is when he catches it, not where his feet are? To me, standing in the endzone and catching the ball should always result in a touchback.

That is why you dive into the end zone and try to knock in back into the field of play before you come into contact with the end zone. I say it clearly. His foot was on the line. I was waiting for a replay which never happen. But Bustle was OK with the call. Go figure

The officiating was atrocious. I'm not suggesting that it played a factor in the score or the result, but it was bad nonetheless. I really couldn't tell where the guys foot was on the play you were talking about, but there were some other ones that they should be totally embarassed about. On one False Start, the White Hat blew the play dead, threw the flag, and then ran over to a couple of his crew to discuss it with them before announcing it. He saw the penalty, he threw the flag, and he still had to discuss it? What kind of inept morons does this Conference employ? I see Ref's in the NFL, and maybe in college, call False Starts sometimes, without even throwing a flag. They just blow the play dead, turn on the mic, and announce the penalty without even taking a step, while the rest of the crew moves the ball back. Someone mentioned last week something about the NCAA hiring Ref's instead of the conferences. That would be awesome for the SBC, but probably won't happen because the other conferences won't want the SBC ref's infecting their games.

The big conferences are already infected. Did you see that "no fumble" call during the FLA vs. Miss St. game?

Either officiating has gotten much worse in recent years, or the level of scrutiny and video evidence is just bringing it to our attention more.
