IceGators Prepare for Season Opener
LAFAYETTE — Officials with the new Louisiana IceGators are hoping for a large and boisterous crowd at the team’s home opener Thursday at Blackham Coliseum.
The IceGators faces the Mississippi Surge, of Biloxi, Miss.
IceGators General Manager Brent Sapergia said a crowd of about 5,000 to 6,000 people could have a tremendous impact.
“I think that the roof will come off of this place,” he said of the team’s new home at Blackham Coliseum.
