The Ragin' Cajuns put their undefeated Sun Belt Conference and home records on the line Saturday against Florida Atlantic. The game will serve as UL's 64th Homecoming contest.

Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns football team returns to Cajun Field Saturday for the 64th annual homecoming game. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m.

Louisiana (4-2, 2-0 Sun Belt) will look to move to 3-0 in the Sun Belt Conference as well as defend their home turf as they host Florida Atlantic (1-4, 1-1 Sun Belt). The Ragin' Cajuns are 3-0 at Cajun Field for the second straight season and seek their first 4-0 start at Cajun Field since 1988.

UL is coming off its first road victory of the season, a 30-22 win over Western Kentucky last Saturday. In that game, the Cajuns controlled the clock the entire contest, running 83 plays and finishing with a 37:48 time of possession mark.

FAU, meanwhile, was able to escape from Denton, Texas, with a 44-40 win over North Texas for its first win of the season. The Owls (1-4, 1-1) scored 30 second-quarter points, erasing an early 13-0 deficit and after stopping North Texas on fourth down with 8:06 to play, Florida drove 71 yards for the game-winner on Alfred Morris' 1-yard run.

This will be the fifth meeting overall between the two teams and third at Cajun Field. The Owls lead the series 3-1 (2-0 at Cajun Field), defeating the Cajuns in the last meeting at Cajun Field 39-32 in overtime in the 2007 homecoming contest.

The Cajuns are 4-3 on homecoming under head coach Rickey Bustle, including last year's 49-20 victory over Florida International.

Quarterbacks Masson and Brad McGuire have provided an excellent compliment to each other the last two weeks. Masson finished the WKU game 16-of-25 for 204 yards. He threw a pair of touchdown passes and ran for another. McGuire did not attempt a pass, but ran 11 times for 59 yards, including six that converted on third down.

UL tight ends have combined for 40 receptions this season, while wide receivers have combined for 46 catches. The Cajuns entered the WKU game with just 18 penalties on the season, but were whistled nine times for 75 yards in the WKU game alone.

The Cajuns defense collected two more interceptions in the WKU contest and now has 10 this season, becoming the first team to collect double figures in interceptions since 2003.

The weekly award winners from the Cajuns win over Western Kentucky included Yobes Walker as the Offensive Player of the Game. Walker rushed 24 times for 94 yards as he played for the injured Undrea Sails, who picked up 58 yards on 13 carries before getting hurt.

On defense, Derreck Dean and Grant Fleming took home Defensive Players of the Game. Fleming recorded a team-high 10 tackles, his second straight game with double figures in tackles. Fleming is averaging 11.0 tackles per game in Sun Belt play. Dean collected the honor for the second straight week and fourth time this season.

The Special Forces Player of the game was Tyler Albrecht. Albrecht hit three field goals, including a 49-yarder in the second quarter.

The offensive scout team players of the week were Daniel Lemelle for the offense and the tandem of Nick Barnfield and Xavier Youman on defense.

The Thumper Award for big hit on offense went to Ladarius Green and Vernon Wolfe. The Hammer Award for biggest hit on defense went to Maurice Rolle. The Kuhuna Award for biggest hit on special teams went to Devon Lewis.
