    UL Softball Softball.......

Do we have any scores to report? I think they played six cames so far. Two in the Spring Classic in Texas and a couple at home. I know it don't mean anything but atleast it would be nice to know how they are doing in these games. They show the schedule but no score. They are keeping score, aren't they?

I went yesterday afternoon for Fan Day. I think it was 9-0 UL for those who are interested in the score.

The transfers and freshmen look real good. The new freshman catcher has a cannon. Donna and Brittany pitched real well. 3 or 4 home runs. One by one of the freshmen from MS I think.

Added depth and speed should help this team. It's still too early to make judgements.

BTW, Jambalaya was good. Thanks Fire and Safety Specialists.

Folks in the stands keep score, but no official scores can be kept. These are termed practices or scrimmages. They scored more than the opposition in the three games played on Saturday in Houston, with the Sunday games being rained out. In Houston, both Donna & Britney pitched well. We hit better as the day went on and got more comfortable seeing pitching. It will be interesting to see which of the freshmen & transfers make an impact when spring rolls around.

Wanta know what's happening with Softball? Come see for yourself. LSU-E is coming to town Tuesday, October 20 at 6 pm for a game. Then, on Friday, the Cajuns host Galveston College.

LSU-E has Lanie Hollier (P- Kaplan) and Chaney Trahan OF-New Iberia) on their roster.

Home Runs on Saturday, Fan Day; Melissa Verde, lead-off batter on second pitch in first at bat. Christi Orgeron - two home runs and Britni Soria - two home runs. It was a ten inning game. The pitchers from McClennann were pretty good pitchers. One had great movement, one was throwing heat.

Pretty many fans were there. Jambalaya was good! Fire and Safety Specialists, Thanks!

The freshman that hit two home runs was Britni Soria from Saginaw, TX. She is an infielder. Great swing!

Now hold on one minute. This "Come see for yourself" aint gona fly. A four season ticket holder and game day sponsor and support this team in many ways. I have other things to do untill the season starts. So don't start with this "Come see for yourself". If you didn't want to clue me in on how they were doing that's OK by me........have a good day...

Quote, "Want to know what's happening with softball, come see for yourself". Where did I read wrong? You could have skipped that part and give information of the game and we wouldn't be having this conversation....bye-bye.....

Great swing. She appears to have really good speed also. All I had were numbers on Saturday. I got the names off of ragincajuns.com today.

    Thanks.
