Penalties killed us. Had to settle for field goals 3 times I think.

Yobes Walker came in and did a good job taking over at running back.
That's what I meant when I said we should have put this team away big time.
This game was video streamed afterall? I thought there was no video feed, so I just listened to Jay the whole way while watching a muted NT and FAU game.
Oh well... a win is a win. I guess we've lost Sails for the season. He had over 50 yards rushing in Q1. Great game by Yobes. Defense can't figure out yet if they want to be good or not. Special teams sure needs to step it up. 50 yard field goal... geaux Tyler. We didn't drop every pass thrown to us this time... that sure makes a QB look better. Chris, with a helping leg from Brad seems to be working. Again... a win is a win.
I'm happy with the win, but want more from this defense. If we are going to get anywhere, our defense will need to step it up.

Our defense seems a bit Bipolar at this point. I thought they played well against K-state and LSU but against Nebraska they had no answer to the Huskers offense and they have had struggles containing NT and WKU. I'd like to see the defense get back to tackling/playing like they were against K-State and LSU.
I thought we had a pretty good mix of McGuire and Masson tonight. I do think we will need to continuing this mix the rest of the season if our offense wants to continue to put up points.
Makes me wonder if there is too much hitting going on with their new philosophy on trying to create turnovers. I have no problem with them being physical and aggressive, but I have noticed in our games and other games that hitting often means missed tackles. Hitting gets away from fundamental tackling.
I think people underestimate WKU... they have talent, they're not playing like a team yet (or else they don't have much talent, and they are playing very well).
Yes, Tennessee and (!!!) Central Arkansas put 'em away. But WKU got more yardage on Navy (at Annapolis) & FIU than they did on us, and USF (a BCS school) held them to only about 16 less yards than the Cajuns did.
If they can put it together, I suspect WKU is going to pull off a few upsets before the season is over.
