Through the season's first five games, regardless of the opponent, UL faced a first-quarter deficit after stumbling early.

In their two road games, the Ragin' Cajuns lost to nationally ranked teams. Then-No. 9 LSU was unable to pull away for a 31-3 win on Sept. 19 until the second half, while then-No. 25 Nebraska rolled, 55-0, the following week.

UL recovered from poor starts in each of its three home games to rally for the win, including last week's 38-34 thriller over North Texas in the final seconds to open Sun Belt Conference play.

With four of their next five games on the road, the Ragin' Cajuns (3-2, 1-0 Sun Belt) will try to learn from their earlier mistakes and for once put together a strong start. The road trip begins at 6 tonight against Sun Belt newcomer Western Kentucky (0-5, 0-1) in Bowling Green, Ky.
