---How about this answer for Luke------Sir when you give us the courtesy of calling our school/team by our preferred athletic name like your competitor does, than I will give you better answers!!!----think that would stir it up a bit!!! but probably like the former SID and the ESPN deal!!!
If thats the worse thing Long does while he is still a young man being put under a spotlight that most of us never experience, then I for one am more than willing to cut him some slack. People make mistakes. Young people make more mistakes.
Treated like Drew Brees? Are you kidding? Shawn Long has to personally make the decision to avail himself to the media; no one forced him, no one has ever forced him. Drew is bound by a collective bargaining agreement that obligates him to speak to the media. Not even close to the same thing.
Long was trying to get attention, plain and simple. I'm so tired of people acting like if someone isn't "paid" to do something, they have no standard of behavior to uphold. Athletes are spoiled brats sometimes, period. You can blame backgrounds, journalists, EMOTIONS (barf), demanding schedules, not GETTING them, etc all you want. As was stated earlier, Shawn has a history of immaturity and a history of plenty else that people have kept behind the scenes (giving him the benefit of the doubt). This was a repeat performance. He needs to grow up. Luke did his job, the way he usually does, the right way.
