The team has been getting there conditioning in at 6:00 am, then afternoon practices with more conditioning, so I don't think they really have there legs under them yet. Its been pretty wet lately but they look quick in the outfield, the infielders are very quick with good hands, they are rotating to different positions just about every inning so the coaches can different looks.
It's still early for the pitchers but, Robichaux, Hubbell, Osborne, look very good up to this point. Hitters are still a little behind the pitchers (pretty normal at this time of the year).
Olasin, Poirrier, Fuselier, Bostic, Keefer are hitting pretty well, as expected, but I really like the way the whole team has been attacking the ball, IMO it's the best we've looked in the fall in a few years.
As far as injuries the only one I'm aware of is Thad Griffen,he has been nursing a sore knee, but has been hitting and playing some 1st.
With all this being said, it's still October and if we plan on competing for a conference championship the teams heading in the right direction, but needs to continue to work hard for the next few months.
is it still a possibility that griifen turns into a closer? I like that idea. What about the SS from the juco? is he actually gonna be a cajuns after the break?
