    BEWARE!!!

These guys are not nearly as bad as they have made themselves look.

Penalties are the #1 factor in their record to date. In their last 2 outings they have had 19 penalties. If not for the 10 penalties and 3 turnovers in the Navy game, their 434 yards of offense would likely have produced a W for them.

If they limit their mental mistakes Saturday, we will be in for real a fight!

We are in a fight in every game from here on out. The Toppers may have growing pains. The Cajuns have execution pains. We have to clean things up against WKU and take care of business. We need to establish a ground game early, but continue to work on completing passes. We should be able to control both sides of the ball at the line of scrimmage, but since I think we've regressed offensively in our passing attack, we cannot afford to abandon it. It will be needed, excessively, in future contests. It's simply never easy for the Cajuns.

While this is a game we should win, I noticed another benefit. WKU plays a 3-4 defense. The only other team we play that also plays a 3-4 defense is ULM. This should really help us down the road for the ULM game. Now, we had better not take anything for granted vs. WKU. A loss here would kill our season.

ULM plays a 3-3-5. But still, it will be a similar blocking scheme for our offense. WKU is especially young up front.
