It is partially blocked but there is traffic on it because there are cars parked on the street. I would think they will eventually get things figured out.

They are still not finished with the Post Office in the Student Union. It looks like it won't be too much longer.

The Bookstore is very nice though. I am still looking for the bulldog tile mosaic that was on the wall even though I know it's not there. I wonder if anybody bothered to save it or if it is in a million pieces in some construction landfill.

My understanding is thatvthe mosaic is saved and they were waiting for the union construction to be complete and to decide where to put it. That's the response I got when I asked while touring the union a month ago.

When are they going to finish the erection of the "red steel"? Seems like they are dragging behind on this while making up for something somewhere else in the building? How is the Track & Field area progressing?

It looks like they are putting up the wall panels so they can get the main part of the building out of the weather. There is not that much red steel left to put up. They can get that done in a couple of days. It's important to get the building out of the weather so they can get sheet rock and other interior work done without it being exposed to the elements.

Wall panels are going up quickly. It won't be long now before we won't be able to see much of anything going on inside the building. This is good.

----Just another question about construction---If we want to brick the bottom like the IPF, can we use some of the bricks from the Cox building when it is torn down?

Has anyone seen the actual plans to match the building that has been constructed? Since the two story change and the additions, what will the buildings overall look? I really hope it doesn't end up looking like a big gray barn!

No, no one has seen them.....I even sent an email to the athletic dept asking for this, which is posted earlier in this thread. Also, a pic showing the final design of the exterior has also been posted earlier in this thread.

No, that would not be an option, unless you can find some poor sucker willing to chip away at thousands of bricks. Cheaper to buy new matching ones.
