I hear Lafayette Parish schools are closed tomorrow...where was this when I was a kid. I can honestly remember 3-4 days in my time of K-12 that we got a day off due to weather. One was Hurricane Hugo. One was the a snow day when I was in 2nd grade. The other was an ice storm when I was in high school. These kids these days.

I clearly remember my comeaux high days when mr rb jones (RIP) would come on the intercom to announce "The chilla is broke". Now we realized this way before the announcement because your classroom was pushing 100 degrees....
