BTW, not sure of this deserved it's own thread, but I thought it was kind of interesting. I have been very curious as to how much is needed for reno's to the tigue and Cajun Field.....I found this from an April 2014 article and thought I might share.
So, if we have the $9 million from the two donors for the Tigue, why haven't they announced it, etc.?
(and here is the article it was posted in....a pretty good read:

If the APC will cost +/- 13M, and that's a lot of steel, brick and concrete, and they plan on +9M for the tigue, it sure looks like they could start form scratch with the Tigue and not just renovations like I keep hearing.
You know, that was my thought too: it seems to me that the APC is a much more complicated build, if you think about all that is going into it. Compare that to the Tigue, where they don't even have to replace all the bleachers. Plus, it will now have suites/boxes, so will generate more revenues.......sure seems to me that we could a very nice facility for over $9 million.
And I also sure hope that they increase the seating to more than what was initially announced (4.5K?)...looks like we could increase to 6K pretty easy.
Moving the Tigue would be best if they are trying to build a stadium that will provide everything they/we want. However, you can't move the trees, which is the #1 favorite for me. Also, there are space issues down the left and right field lines (tennis courts and bullpens). Of course, they could move the bullpens out like at Alex Box to add more seats down to the outfield wall, but that's not my preference. I think the plans they have shared to the point (redoing grandstand and patio level at the top of the 1st and 3rd base stands is the best option.
I would like to see them reconfigure the dugouts more like you would see in the majors, so that you can add more seats from the bottom of the 1st and 3rd base seating diagonally down and out towards the field. Of course, those who have the box seats wouldn't approve.
Build a new grandstand that connects the bleachers, nothing wrong with the rest of the park. We don't need more than 4500 seats... 4800 max
