I think it's screwed up that schools do that. I've always hated when LSU offers a 3* guy we are after, then last minute says "well... We're out of scholarships, so we can offer you a greyshirt" I truly hope we're not doing that...

Recruiting is a though game and as a parent I would not have liked the offer. Now there is also the other side of recruiting as well like Dwaine Thomas who takes your offer and waits for the first P5 program to come offering after a big senior season. It works both ways, in either case I believe most athletes end up eventually were they belong.
