I don't remember exact number but it was around 150K or maybe a little more.

Student section is a mixture of students and friends and young alumni.

I am alumni and I like sitting on the student side. I like the vibe and a lot of the guys like the fact I'm passionate and help get the students fired up.

Some of the students friends get escort tickets and they are not students. I don't think you want to start dividing it all up. You would be surprised how many non-students were at the game last night in the student section.

At least we showed up! If you want we can all stay in the parking lot too! _

I'm sure the students at LSU get 25,000 50 yard line seats. NO university does that, except UL. We need to generate more revenue. Sell chair back 50 yard line seats. The students are not infringed on because they have a designated section. Unless/until UL starts to act like a 1A program, we will continue with this mediocre attendance and low budget and continue to be viewed that way by the general public. We are our own worst enemy.

_ So many people stayed home for 2 reasons. That purple abomination was manhandled on national tv and everyone would rather watch them then come to home game. Second the weather was iffy, and prolly friday people made the decision to wussy out and not come because water will make them deathly ill when it falls on them, even though no rain fell during the game. This is a joke. You go to the game, you see a better game than people saw on CBS. Good thing is the word will get out about this team. I personally am letting everyone I know who didnt go that they should be bashing their heads into walls for being a ____ing ninny and not coming to the game. Put on your big boy pants and get your ass to the game rain or shine. _

U r the same clown who claimed that UL's 4 td loss to LSU was really a win, but when LSU holds the number team in the country to 13pts and down to wire, u frame as "mandandled." You are clueless.

I am a member of the Krewe Jamais d'la vie (Percy Guidry tailgating krewe). As to the statement of our members wearing purple and gold, that is ridiculous everyone in our Krewe is a diehard cajun fan, now of course friends and family are known to wear those colors and we tell them something about it but we do not discriminate. If you would've looked during the southern, kstate, or nt game you would've also noticed the opposing teams colors throughout our tent because thats the type of fans we are. As to the statement of us staying back to watch the Lspoo game, none of our krewe members stay in the tent at kickoff (if you wear an apron and tag your at the real game). Some of us do go down to the tent at halftime to check on everything and yes there are some people still there but that will happen. Also we donate equipment to the football team every year. Why would we do that with our money if we dont love UL? Finally if you look at our aprons or tags we have the motto on which we all live by "All for the love of the Cajuns."

Then youneed to be discriminating. This is a UL event. These folks ned to either get some UL gear and get in the game to support UL or stay home. Its rediculous to see people at a UL game vs Kansas St., UNT (or any other team besides State) wearing State gear.
