Friend at work told me he had actually called Jake at one time about getting a job here (not as HC). This is since Hud. Don't know if it's true, but he said he was there when it happened.

lsu can hire all the coaches it wants that does not translate into developing players. lsu's recruiting class has, in the past 3-4 years, had the ability to win a national championship, however; there isn't any player development. It's no wonder why players, after entering the nfl, blow up. They have the raw talent but lsu can not develop them plain and simple.

And that begins and ends with the head coach. That's why I legitimately love the fact that Les Miles is their coach and they won't be firing him anytime soon. I love it even more that he lost the best X and O coach he has ever had in Chavis and gained an out of touch DC with a Swamp People character as his D Line coach. There recruiting classes will be epic...and so will their failures. Les Miles needs to stay in Baton Rouge until the day he dies. Tiger fans deserve him.

Hawk I had posted on here one time about my buddy who coaches with the Seahawks and how when Carroll was at USC he said that BEBE was the best DL coach he had ever seen at any level---was surprised that he had never been a DC after all these years---There was a story back when he was at Tenn and somebody asked where BEBE was at visiting a high school---lifting weights in a PE class and trying to recruit the whole school to Tenn---His first college to attend was LSU and then I think with BOBE at N'Western!!!

Was he the greatest D Line coach because he recruited the best athletes? Or did he actually get X's and O's? I don't see Orgeron as a defensive mastermind...but...you can't always judge a book by it's goofy accent and mannerisms.
