First train, HUD would be gone already. He obviously has let a couple trains go by. Malzahn won a national title at auburn as OC, freeze was at ole miss and has regular Sunday dinner with Archie manning, harsin was qb at Boise and coached there...there is only 1 place HUD has ties and there hasn't been an opening.

Alabama has more horses than anyone and they put one of their less dominant defenses on the field this year. Not sure what you arguing about... 6 quarters playing man=0 touchdowns...other scheme, well you know. I never used the word effectively, so you now you making ___ up. We won 7 games running it, you think we ran it effectively?
I may have misunderstood what you said, but I gathered that you didn't believe Alabama ran an effective defensive scheme. They only held 9 opponents to less than 20, finished 12th it total defense, and ranked 6th in points per game. All of it against the #3 SOS. I'd say that's pretty damn good.

How did that sec west turn out when they weren't playing themselves? When we ran the scheme alabama runs.. We weren't good on defense (willis coached at alabama) we switched to man for 6 quarters and didn't give up a TD

It's common knowledge amongst the group that HUD did tentatively accept Tulane's offer a few years back.

I know what was said but what does that mean really? I would tell my current employer the same if I was trying to convince him to give me a 600k raise.

Sure...one of them offered him a job. Mississippi State hasn't had an opening yet...much to Hud's chagrin.

Because his employer didn't give him the 600k raise after the offer was made.

Exactly... We were 350k short and he stayed. I know what that tells me.

No Farmer told him "good luck". So at that point he was going to Tulane. Savoie stepped in and gave him what he wanted to stay. Sure we got a discount...but...to be fair...it was Tulane. Had it been ECU, or Boise, or any other competent G5...that discount would have gone over like a lead balloon. Thank god it was Tulane. Don't kid yourself into thinking he is here for the long haul. It's not Hud's fault Mullen can't do well enough to get hired by anyone...or do bad enough to get fired.

HUD has already been here longer than anyone expected, in my view he has already been here for the long haul. However many more years we get him is lagniappe, but don't kid yourself he wants to be here. If he didn't want to be here, he wouldn't have given tjoe the chance to keep him or stayed for less money. HUD has won here, he would have won at Tulane. We have no idea how many interviews he has turned down or taken. If he wanted out, he would be gone... He isnt stuck here like you are claiming.
