Not this year, that same scheme just got them beat by ohio state. Their biggest weakness this season was getting burned by the big play.

That scheme went 12-2 against the #3 SOS in the nation.

With the most talent in the country... You think we have close to that? If it's even vulnerable with nfl type talent what you think happens when we try to run it? It requires too much thinking and communication... Those guys have the ability to make up for mistakes with closing speed and instincts, we don't.

You said they didn't run it effectively this year. 12-2 against #3 SOS says yes they did. Just because they got beat by OSU in one game doesn't mean it's not an effective scheme.

To our standards or alabama's? They have up a lot of points for alabama. We aren't alabama, it's not hard to understand. If we tried to run a Stanford offense with TB, how affective you think we would be? You gotta have the horses to run certain schemes. Alabama has more horses than anyone and they put one of their less dominant defenses on the field this year. Not sure what you arguing about... 6 quarters playing man=0 touchdowns...other scheme, well you know. I never used the word effectively, so you now you making ___ up. We won 7 games running it, you think we ran it effectively?

Just simply pointing out none if us know, you can scream about what it looks like, or what you think but you don't know. Alabama got burned all season by the same scheme that everyone is 100% sure is hud's...just saying.
The proof is in the pudding. We went from Greg Stewart's defense to James Willis's defense according to Hud. But the results and scheme are still the same. Something doesn't add up. If you have two different DC's running the same system...or you have Hud micromanaging his DC's to their detriment and then running them into the ground to save himself. We had a miserable year on defense...but we did not fire our DC. In fact other than the questionable firing of Coach Edwards, no coach on that defense was fired for performance issues. That is a pretty telling sign that the failed scheme was...Hud's.

And that's why Freeze, Malzahn, Harsin all got better jobs and here Hud sits. We aren't asking the guy to go full Brady Hoke and not even wear a headset...but trust your coaches that YOU HIRED. Trust the players that YOU RECRUITED. This playing scared BS that he is pulling so he won't lose a big time job opportunity...is keeping him from getting his big time job opportunity.
