Thread: Tommy Lasorda History with Louisiana

  1. UL Baseball Tommy Lasorda History with Louisiana

This is from the 1984 USL Baseball Banquet.

Dr Robert Hesse, is presenting a plaque to Tommy Lasorda from the Italian American Club, recognizing Lasorda as an Honorary Cajun. (Of course, Lasorda is Italian).

At the lower right is Ron Gomez.

Picture donated by Steve Hesse, son of Dr Robert Hesse.

    RedBug58, that is great, thanks.

At first glance I thought Lasorda's place holder card said #51 but I see its USL

    AWESOME.

I don't know what looks better, Lasorda or that beautiful Cajuns script behind him.

    Thanks Turbine.

I remember my Dad saying that Lasorda was a great speaker, ripping off jokes one after another, and had the place going crazy. Good times in Cajun Land!

Boy that was my thought too. I wish we'd ditch our black and yellow flaming pepper crap for something like that.

I'm making some stickers with Cajuns in that exact script. You want one?

Oh and the thanks goes to RedBug58 not me.
