Looks like a good addition, welcome aboard Coach Lucas.
Let's see, was the DC of the 1-AA on schedule for next year plus his D beat the Techsters. Sweet. 2 birds.

I like his ties to the state of Texas. That's an area I'd like to see us recruit more.
But I am concerned that he is a Liberty alum. Worried that this might be a stealth move by Comfortable Scott and Kozy Karl to plant a fifth column Flame to influence us to accede to them joining the Belt.

UL coach Mark Hudspeth: New assistant Mike Lucas may coach DBs or OLBs, but he'll wait until two vacant posts are filled before deciding.
He has 2 first names... That's a plus
Please tell me he was hired because he was best qualified and wanted to come here and NOT because NWSU wanted to get rid of him....
He leaves as a DC, to become a position coach (granted, from a D1AA to D1 Mid-major), doesn't have to move far, and I don't see anything about NWSU's D lighting up the sky....
