The UL Ragin' Cajuns head football coach Mark Hudspeth announced on Tuesday that veteran collegiate coach Mike Lucas has joined the staff for the 2015 season where he will serve as an assistant coach.

I like his ties to the state of Texas. That's an area I'd like to see us recruit more.

But I am concerned that he is a Liberty alum. Worried that this might be a stealth move by Comfortable Scott and Kozy Karl to plant a fifth column Flame to influence us to accede to them joining the Belt.

He leaves as a DC, to become a position coach (granted, from a D1AA to D1 Mid-major), doesn't have to move far, and I don't see anything about NWSU's D lighting up the sky

That is what the article states.
However, his bio sure looks like it is going the opposite direction.
I would just rather have up and coming diamonds in the rough
But, unless there is anything overtly negative about him, I will sure give him the benefit of the doubt.

We have former college head coach and DC coming here to be a position coach. He was Louisiana coach of the year. His resume speaks for itself. You usually don't do something for 36 years if you aren't good at it.especially coaching.
