How is attendance at their basketball games?

Has not been traditionally strong, more of a football school, but there is some excitement brewing with a new coach. He was previously the associate HC at Davidson. Davidson is a college just a few minutes north of Charlotte that has some pretty good history. The are averaging around 1400 per game this year. That is up from previous years. But they have only had 2 home games this year, one vs Hampton and the other vs Hofstra.

Decided against taking the jet to the game because:
1) nowhere to land it in Boone
2) weather conditions

Guess I will just have to listen to Jay on the radio for this one.

I know you are being sarcastic, but but actually both Boone and Wilkesboro have airports, only allow private jets, but they do have airports.

It's freaking beautiful here. It's cold (Wednesday hi 23, low 0, we'll hit 40 today though) but in late April you'll LOVE it.

There's a lot more in this town than you would think for a town of 15,000

Did you go check out Howard's Knob? It's supposed to be the big attraction up there.

Airport is pretty worthless if team and fans can't fly in there. Where did the team fly into and how long of a bus ride do they have to take?

Pretty sure the team flew into Charlotte.

I am sure they flew to Charlotte, it is roughly 2 hours from Charlotte or Greensboro to Boone.

hammer we all know how much you hate the fact that App State was added to this conference, but I will tell you, there is no better city in the Belt, outside of Lafayette then Boone, NC. It may be hard to travel to, but it is worth the travel.

My son, a recent App State grad will be there with a few of his friends. He's anxious to see the cajuns play. If I were still in NC, I'd be there too.
