Because as soon as Hud leaves this town, we will be dead in the water on the coaching front.
This is what concerns me the most.

And look, Hud is a fiery, upcoming coach whose name has been mentioned for bigger jobs. Make no mistake, that if he can't find good assistants because of a negative perception of the way are athletic department is done, then he's going to jet off to be a coordinator at a bigger school or a HC at a Conference USA-type program rather than stay as the quality of interested assistant coaches goes downhill and affects his W/L record.

Hud will get his opp elsewhere, but he will not go to a CUSA-type or demote to a coordinator. He's turned down a few "nice" gigs. Hud wants SEC...

Now this whole screwing the pooch situation must not go unnoticed!!

When you promise a performance-based payout and those goals are met; you pay the F'N coaches--no questions asked. When you don't have the money because of "BOWL SHARING" i.e., Salary increase to SF, then you put an intelligent strategy together to raise the money immediately and not tell you head friggin coach to raise it himself.....

I'm about to blow a gasket with this stupid undermining, smoke-n-mirrors BS!

Now, once again an RCAF meeting MUST happen immediately. This is spinning out of control and the only savior here is funded money by passionate fans. This problem could've been resolved with one Effing phone call...the money was not a substantial amount to RCAF investors. Good Grief!

Assistant coaches are usually year-to-year by default.

Until the last decade all UL head coaches ( football and men's basketball) were year-to-year as well.

I heard that Wallerstedt is taking a position at Kansas for about twice the money we could offer. If that is the case, nothing suspicious there.

Yes....Edward's termination is the only question. Along with the Bowl bonuses for Assistant Coaches.....I will not weigh in on that......at this time.

I don't see any openings until 2-3 years down the road...for the West for sure. I doubt he goes to the East for anything short of Florida/Georgia. I think he needs to get comfy...he's gonna be here awhile. And he has no one to blame but himself.
