Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns met 25th ranked Nebraska in a game that not only marked the Cornhuskers homecoming, but the 300th consecutive sell-out out Memorial Stadium.
Nebraska used a series of big plays to take a 34-0 lead just 24 minutes into the game and never looked back, taking the game by a final score of 55-0.

UL moved the ball 22 yards on their opening drive, but had to punt facing a fourth-and-one from their 40-yard line. Spencer Ortego boomed a 53-yard punt to the Cornhuskers seven-yard line.

After a three-and-out and short 34-yard punt by the Cajuns, NU needed only three plays and 45 seconds to build a 10-0 lead. A 39-yard rush by Roy Helu, Jr. down to the four-yard line set-up the score. The Cajuns Grant Fleming forced a Helu, Jr. fumble at the goal line on the next play, but Cornhuskers tight end Ben Cotton fell on the ball in the end zone for a touchdown.
A 32-yard pass from Masson to Green pushed the Cajuns into NU territory late in the opening quarter. UL was unable to capitalize, as Tyler Albrecht's 50-yard field goal attempt was short. It was Albrecht's first missed field goal of the season.
The Cornhuskers used a 42-yard pass from Lee to Curenski Gilleylen to set-up a 46-yard field goal by Henery with eight seconds left in the first quarter that upped the advantage to 13-0.

A fumble on the Cajuns next offensive snap led to another Nebraska touchdown. Lee hit Brooks with a 22-yard pass before Helu, Jr. scored on a two-yard plunge, giving NU a 27-0 edge.
The Cajuns tried to respond, putting together a nice 11-play, 51-yard drive into Cornhuskers territory, but a 74-yard interception return for a touchdown by Larry Asante quickly moved the score to 34-0 before the end of the first half.
Louisiana was unsuccessful at moving the ball in the second half which resulted in the shutout. Of their second half drives, four ended in a punt and one ended with a fumble lost. Only twice did the Cajuns get a fresh set of downs and the longest drive of the second stanza came on team's final possession (10 plays, 28 yards).
Nebraska moved 73 yards over 10 plays on the opening drive of the third quarter. The biggest play of the drive came when Lee completed a 43 yard pass to Curenski Gilleylen to set up first-and-goal. After a personal foul call against the Cajuns, three straight rushes by Helu, Jr. resulted in a touchdown at 8:36.
The Cornhuskers added a pair of scores in the fourth quarter after both squads began to send in the reserves.
