LINCOLN, Neb. — With a sea of red fans packed inside Memorial Stadium, Nebraska celebrated its NCAA-record 300th consecutive home sellout Saturday night by wearing throwback jerseys similar to what the team donned when the streak started in 1962.
UL had little to celebrate after falling to the 25th-ranked Cornhuskers, 55-0, in their final non-conference game of the season. It was the program's first shutout since falling to North Texas, 27-0, in 2002.
