How many baskets did the three of them make in the last 15 minutes? All I'm saying is that when a high school player is being recruited, a prerequisite should be that they can hit an outside jump shot. Are you confident, with the game on the line, any of the players on the court could make a 15 foot jumper. I'm not.
They are always scrappy, marlin and shields are good friends and know each other very well. They are hard nosed and play tough defense.
The G-- Damn conference is a cellar dweller. No one in this league should be beating us with regularity, or really anyone else for that matter, home or away. It's a BS cover. Cajuns were dominating that game, and as usual, blew the lead. I don't know if its a coaching philosophy or what, but its a theme with this team for years now.
And making the Tourney doesn't make you NOT a cellar dweller. Bad programs make the tourney every year. Didn't they have an 11 win team in the play in game last year?
Your entire post is confusing.
Nah man, not really.. nothing you wrote has anything to do with what Im saying..
You say we're came back from deficits? Fine, but that hasn't been a pattern. The pattern has been more times than not, build lead - lose lead. Fight like hell to win at the end. When I think of Cajun basketball, thats what comes to mind..
The other stuff.. I have no idea what you're trying to say.
It's funny that you called CajunRage one of the most annoying posters in RP history, yet you are the one filling up this thread with outlandish outbursts and even immature at times.
CajunRage is one of the most consistent and level-headed posters on here. Just saying.
Back to basketball, this team needed this win. From my perspective, I feel like we are way ahead of where we were this time last year. Last year, it took until midway through the season to even click at all. This team has already shown they can thrive when everything is working right… I feel like starting conference with a road win is huge for the morale of these kids. I can see this team heating up and going on a nice streak at some point.
And yes, UALR is always tough at home. They were picked 3rd in the league for a reason sir, I don't see why you (ManAboutTown) need to act like they are some terrible team. This isn't the Little Rock baseball team.
road win, in conference...im good
When I think of basketball that's what comes to mind. Lead changes, big leads, droughts, runs etc. It is a streaky game. Just like you, I want the team to do as well as they can, because we pride our university, but to be upset after a road win against a formidable conference opponent... Sounds like you won't be happy until we have Bo Lamar hitting shots from every spot on the court. Enjoy the win man, these ain't your daddy's/childhood Cajuns. All 300 something schools want to be the best...
