  1. Default Wright to lead Cajuns into Sun Belt play vs. UALR

When Jay Wright was coming out of Effingham County High in Springfield, Georgia, in 2013, he felt underexposed.

For what it's worth, I saw Northwestern State against Arkansas yesterday and was very impressed with them (dem Demons) ... they played a very good game against the razorbacks and have a very talented team.

I know we should have beaten them (they are a much better club than McNeese - we just played like crap against them) but I expect they could be the Southland's ncaa rep.

So u saying we are no better than 3rd in the Southland Conference. Way to go Bob, you used to own the Southland when you coached there.

We mostly sucked pre conference last year. Our one decent win last year? Beat LaTech in Ruston handily (never trailed once) then got hammered by Jackson State. If we can claim some early road conference wins & get some mojo going, it'll be down to us & GSU again this year.

I wouldn't say hammered by Jackson State, they hit a 3 pointer near the buzzer. That was the weirdest place I have ever been to for a basketball game. They had a DJ playing during the game and you had to go through medal detectors to get into the game. We still should have beat them.

I no and agree we should have never lost to them. I was ____ed, I drove up to the game before heading back to New Orleans for the bowl game. My only point was I wouldn't have said hammered, but then again any lose to a SWAC team is getting hammered.

"Medal detectors"? Were they prepping for the Olympics?

We also beat the University of Houston last year, a team in a much higher profile league than ours. We also defeated Coastal Carolina at their place. Coastal Carolina won over 20 last year and went to the NCAA tournament.
