According to Scout.com, we only have 8 3 stars and NO 4 stars.
Also, as Mid-Majors go, team recruiting ratings are:
37 W. Mich (that is pretty darn GOOD!)
47 BYU
53 Cincy
57 Boise St
58 Central Mich.
63 NIU
65 Toledo
66 Miami (Oh)
67 FAU (What??!!)
71 San Jose St
74 Ark St (highest SBC)
76 UL
A Few Points:
-FIVE MAC Schools above us (and above several P'5s).
-stAte above us.
-Who would want to commit to FAU....?
AND:
-- These stars, ratings, lists don't really mean a lot (just somewhat interesting).
This years Heisman winner was a 2 star prospect.
Jordan Jefferson was a 4 star. How did that work out?
Stars mean nothing.
Using flank to determine individual worth must be why so many 4-stars fall by the way side.
i don't get the metrics recruiting sites use.. if the kids going to Alabama he has to be a 5 star is my understanding how they rate em
"Stars mean nothing"
Yep.
And how they figure them: chicken bones and ben wa beads....
I have a theory.
When a projected 4 star recruit is expected to be playing next to two other 4 star recruits he is automatically bumped up to 5 star protected status.
The apposite happens when he will be playing next to two and three star players.
That is my theory.
