Not the point. I can say Mike Trout is the best baseball player every to play in the majors. Many will tell me to wait until he achieves some things long-term before labeling him. I didn't say anything about the South AL game. Brooks Haack has not even been named the starter for a team in the worst conference in college football. I fully believe he will be and that he will win many games. Pump the brakes a bit though.
No need to pump the brakes, if he doesn't start it will be because of the offensive philosophy. If the kid were from Louisiana he would be the next greatest QB the state has ever seen. Go watch his body of work at Katy. Not his highlights, actual games, he is the best pure QB this program has seen since Jake.
If y'all want to continue to see athletes play QB that's fine. I want to see a QB play QB. If the kid gets his shot he will pass for over 6000 yards and 50 plus TDs. In just two years.
If he doesn't he will transfer out and play at an FCS program and find his way onto an NFL camp when he is done. Call me a dumbass all you want, I know talent when I see it. I may not know as much about the game as Basinbear or Rick Young, but I am certain I know more about football and talent than most of you on here.
I'm not the one pointing to high school games of a player that wasn't offered a scholarship by anyone bigger than UL, Wyoming and North Texas, and then hasn't started 3 years into his career as the best QB this school has seen since Jake.
He could be very good. Let him prove it.
No, but some of you on here have watched the game from the stands all your life and think you know what's going on. Kevin Foote touched on it a few weeks ago after a Saints loss, our fan base as a whole has a very low football IQ.
For example, we looked like crap against Southern and won 40 something to a little. Everyone thought we were gonna roll over La Tech. Nobody really watched the game and saw the red flags the size of Mt Everest. The next game we get destroyed on the score board and the season is over. Nobody watched the game, again they looked at the scoreboard and we were terrible. 5 offensive plays accounted for 280 plus yards and 3 TDs, another play was a pick 6. Nobody payed attention to how we played the entire game.
But keep looking at the surface of everything and taking it at face value. Watch the intricacies of the game, not the fluff. Same concept can be said regarding the AD, don't look at the surface, but how we got to where we are.
Have you been reading my posts and trying to pass them as your own????
