He scrambled and threw a pass that gave the reciever a chance to make a play on the sideline.

Better than airing the ball 5 rows into the stands when the pressure came.

It's amazing that all of this means nothing compared to a kid who's 0-1 as a starter and has thrown 30 passes in his career.

Look, I like Haack, and I hope that if he becomes the starter, he breaks every record there is, and leads us to huge victories along the way. But this debate is nonsense. Broadway is the most accomplished QB this program has ever had, and his being disparaged and ridiculed at the expense of basically an unknown (as far as skills go to this point) is absolutely ridiculous.

I think this discussion is unfair to both of them

I completely agree with all that Crazy. We can talk about the strengths and weaknesses of both without disparaging and ridiculing. TB was great asset to the Cajuns and I'm really happy he transfered to Louisiana. It's been a privilege to watch him play. But now FREE HAACK. lol

Bingo. Some were upset thinking that Broadway got the nod because of loyalty. Wouldn't it be the same thing if haack started and wasn't the best option?

You're being pulled into a nonexistent debate. Rage used a thread that has as it's subject "Next year QB" and a massive number of posts speculating on the new starter... that clearly does not include Terrance... and just by one guy's post... is trying to make this a "ridiculing TB" thread. It's BS. This is strictly about next year.

By the way, Haack throws a prettier pass than Brian Mitchell. Jake Delhomme only wishes he could run like Jalen Nixon. I guess I just ridiculed and disparaged Brian and Jake. Oh well... it's about our QB next year. Terrance, Brian and Jake are ineligible. But I just gave Terrance a seat at the table with two of our best.

Let's move this back to next year's QB hopefuls. I'm sure if we work hard enough, we can ridicule and disparage them, without invoking the name of our prior greats.

The subject of the thread is who will be the Cajun QB next season.

Those who were impressed by the limited snaps Haack got this season are using that evidence to argue that he should be the Q at the beginning of the season.

Not sure why so many posters are gettign their panties in a wad and being so defensive of B-Way. I guess its leftover feelings from the in season qb discussion.

I don't care who next years starting QB is, I really don't. I would like it to be Brooks, because I think he has put in the most work and has done a pretty good job when given the opportunity. But I trust our coaches and let them make the decision. It is not the first time this has happened at UL and other schools. I hope Coach Hud, Munoz and Johnson make the right decision, but either way, I want at least 9 wins.

That's right. We need to remember... just like was mentioned during our in-season disagreements... we are discussing young men that all chose our school to try and get that coveted starting QB position. It is virtually impossible to describe the strength of one without diminishing that attribute in another. But at the end of the discussion, they're all "our guys". May the best QB, all attributes under consideration, win the start.
