    I may be wrong. ?
He was hurt early his senior year. Before he got hurt, people were starting to get tired of watching him struggle and wanted to see what Broadway could do. He never looked that good his senior year. Granted, he didn't play much, but still..

He has played in 10 games where he tallied passing stats. Only 3 of those games did he throw more than 10 passes. In all 3 of those games, we left with an L. He absolutely didn't lose those games, but he didn't pull us through to a W. The one game he started, we got destroyed by South Al. Again, he didn't lose that game, but also didn't win it for us. He's made some great passes. He's made some easy passes. I recall one heave that Riles made a highlight catch on. When it's all said and done, he threw 6%/13% of the passes that Broadway threw in 2013/2014. That is a very small sample size in actual game experience. I really wish he would have gotten more mop up time this year.
I think you missed the point here. Haack put up the numbers he did in a system that wasn't designed for his skill set. The South AL game is not a fair assessment of his talent level for that exact reason, not to mention the weather was horrible and we put the ball on the ground a lot. If we had a scheme designed for him and an entire offseason to implement it, who's to say it won't work. I don't know who is going to be the starter next year, nor does anyone else, but I think Haack has the inside track.

Never said he wouldn't be the starter. Just said there needs to be a competition and I've seen nothing to say he will or will not run away with it.

    Thanks.

Somehow I knew my memory was off kilter.

Ah yes the genesis of my QB accuracy weight room theory.

I've always said Nixon was the better backup to Broadway, but if Haack had an offseason for the offense to be tailored to his skillset, he'd be the more effective QB.

Why does everyone assume jordan davis can't run it and throw it? You know there are QB's who are good at both. He had an offer to latech which is not a zone read... That should tell you a little something about his ability to throw it.

I dont know much about our young QBs. So what you told me is news to me. I'm fine with whatever QB gives us the best chance to win. I just hope that person is someone who is a better thrower than runner because I feel that will benefit us more long term.

Pocket QB's only work when you have elite offensive lineman. I like our guys but they would not be able to provide the time needed to get the ball out aganist elite defensive lineman. This is why NFL offensive lineman are paid a premium.

Bama has been the only national champ to win with a pocket passer over the last 10 years. Winston, Tebow, Leak ,Newton , Flynn....all could move around a bit

    College football has changed

Good point. The spread was developed to overcome weaknesses in the trenches.
