So Broadway didn't deserve the playing time he got?

    Not saying that.

I am saying that no way should TB have taken the snaps he took in that 1-3 start to the season. That was ridiculous.

The coaches didn't perform and not 1 player performed. Haack might not be the best guy for the job but to say we will be awful if he starts next year is plan dumb. We might be awful if he starts or we might be great. No team is ever sure about what will happen when they replace a long time starter and that is at any level.

I like what I have seen out of Haack in his limited playing time but if he starts next year we will have growing pains in the offense but we will have the same growing pains if Nixon or Davis starts. No one becomes a better QB sitting on the bench so these guys will learn on the job next year. the good thing is that they will have McGuire as a safety net.
Clutch I am not sure how old you are but what I am saying we had a couple of QBs here that the first time they stepped on a field you knew they were special. I haven't seen anything special about Haack like I did the first time I saw Jake or Brian play as true fresman. I think Haack can be a babb type QB but I would like to see better.

I am high on Davis not because of what I have witnessed with my own eyes but what I have heard come out of coaches mouths about him. He can make all the reads and go through the progressions as Haack but he is more athletic. He is a true dual threat. I have heard if you could mix Nixon and Haack you get Davis. I like that thought.

Since this is purely hypothetical I'll answer this. If TB would have missed a whole game this season and Haack would have played an entire game we would have seen a huge QB controversy. Haack was 20-23 for 179 and 2 TDs this season. None of that was in mop up time. It was in critical situations thought the season.

So let's say Haack started a game and put up a stat line of 22 of 30 for 240 yards and 2 Tds. Then you would have a serious problem on your hands. TB deserved to start all season based off of everything he has done here. Had Haack been given the opportunity and thrived then the team could fracture. That is the main reason I think you didn't see Haack more when Hud could have easily gotten him some work in.

If I've learned anything I've over the past few months, it's that HUD is a much better coach and more knowledgable about his players than any of us. Who ever he chooses as the starter is probably the best at getting a W more than #2 and #3, until 2&3 show him otherwise.

Hud gets all of his coaching knowledge from this forum. Do not interrupt this process. We are converging on the choice for starter next year. Allow this process to play out. It's crucial to our future success. (Hud, don't listen to this guy. Just keep reading. The Oracle will eventually provide the answer.)

Soooo unless someone steps in and is the best thing since delhomme or mitchell you will be disappointed? I'm sure Tennessee is hoping their next QB is Payton Manning good but that is not going to happen. What I am trying to say and what you keep ignoring is that NO ONE knows how any of our QBs will look. Davis might be great but guess what Nixon and Haack might be great as well. Until they get into games and gain experience as starting QBs we won't know what they will be. Some guys you can tell as soon as they step on the field that they will be great but that's not realistic to think you will get guys like that BUT that doesn't mean you are going to have an awfully long year if we dont.

I will repeat I don't care who starts as long as we win. Regardless of which QB wins the job I will be fully behind them but for guys like you who think Haack can't do it bc of watching a game in which everyone looked bad from the moment they stepped off the bus is ignorant. He might be terrible or he might be outstanding but we do not know.

A late nominee for the reality post of the year!!!
