Before anyone overreacts, no I'm not comparing Haack to Brady. I'm just saying that coaches have put NFL QBs on the bench before.
No but if you are going to compare Haack to any NFL QB it would be Drew Brres with a stronger arm.

Just like you were singing Gautier's praises whe he first got here. Haack is a Drew Bree's clone with a slightly bigger build.

----Yes I like QBs that can kill you with arm or foot----but in Haack's career either the coaches' evaluations are wrong, they don't like him, or maybe they see some flaws that have others playing ahead of him----Think this will be my last semi negative post of a player on here!!!

Boomer, answer me this. Why could BG not beat out Des? He was by far the better QB.

Holy ****, are we seriously discussing Brooks Haack as an NFL QB? Get a grip, guys. Let the guy play a couple games at least.

Right?! Let the guy get rid of the goose egg on the left side of the dash. You know, the win column....

And I personally have no use for Nixon if he can't keep from getting high long enough to stay on the team for any length of time, regardless of his athletic ability. We don't need that kind of "leader" as the forefront of our team imho.

To me Eli is the equalizer. As long as we are able to get someone in to at least somewhat fill the gap for Alonzo and not have Eli running as an every down back, if we can pass the ball downfield to Robinson, etc. , run the ball with Eli and feed Eli the ball in the flat .... we can light things up next year. When they can't get the run game going and can't get downfield all they need to do is have Eli in flat for a screen passes and have him light things up. Just like he did in the Boise game.
    I agree with this post.

----I would imagine that there was suppose to be an "IF" before he was----I didn't say the hyperbole rendering that you are attributing to me---but my answer would be that the coaches felt DEZ was better!!! I was thinking Des to be very good and spoke to pro coaches that had contact with him!!!

Desormeaux wasn't much of a passer, but I don't think you'd find anybody who would say our offense was ineffective with him. We ran the ball better than most teams in America. Gautier would have been a redshirt/freshman at that point as well if I'm not mistaken. The better argument is with Masson. The fact that dude took one snap with Gautier on the bench is inconceivable.

Desormeaux was a better passer in high school.

Bustle wanted him to rope it, and that wasn't his strength.

Desormeaux wasn't a Drew Brees passer, but he could throw it better than most think. His receivers dropped many more balls than what we have had the last few years.

Down 17-0 after 4 plays on offense. Name me one QB that the Cajuns have had that would have brought us back from that. I'll wait.
