You should have been more worried during the Troy game, they took advantage of LSU mistakes. They gave the game to LSU in the 4th quarter.
Had the Cajuns taken advantage of the two missed pick 6 opportunities then the game would have had a different outcome. Weather that meant a Cajuns upset or a close LSU victory no one will ever know.
But to say that LSU didn't convert when they had the chance is not true. I have watched the game twice already and will wacth it again tonight, LSU scored about as much as it could. The Cajuns on the other hand did not convert when they needed to.
I don't know about Jay, but I would hope this board would be more upbeat if we beat LSU. Bustle and Co have recieved a fair amount of flack for their game time decisions.
98% of the people here thought we would lose. Most people here thought we played OK. Why does this bother you?
No one is suggesting that we would have won the game....
What we are doing is evaluating the state of OUR team.... We played purportedly a top ten team... although I dont think that is true... and are looking at the fact that we were not blown away as we have been in the past... how we competed and how missed opportunities made the score seem like more of a blow out than it was...
Missed opportunites are just that... Mistakes WE made.... we know that... but on a competitive level the distance between us and a&m@br is shrinking... nothing more..
So crawl back into your tigggeer cage and lick your paws...
Haven't watched it again-but while we are talking "what if's" it seems like before Masson settled down it was like a tip drill several times early in the game especially w/UL deep on their side of the field and Jefferson missed some wide open receivers deep.
In any event, props on a good game and good luck this weekend
I LOVE the phrase with all due respect because it's a get out of jail free card to disrespect!
Of course you were more worried during Troy. They were KICKING YOUR _____es!!!!!
Everyone here thinks we played a fairly good game and that it FELT closer than 31-3. I think any rational fan on either side would agree.
We will have to disagree on that one. I'm pretty sure there was a fairly open LSU receiver who had gotten behind your defenders but who was over thrown and a couple more near int's or at least balls bouncing that could fit into the what if mode.
Hey, it doesn't matter. My only point was to suggest that "what ifs" bounce both ways. imo
"They gave the game to LSU in the 4th quarter."
Agreed and that was my point.
