Thread: Elijah McGuire the first two years

I've watched this 4 times now. I didn't realize just how fast he is. He out runs everyone. There is hardly a defender that can close on him. And his moves are so quick. I love the clip where he stops on a dime at the sideline, then changes direction and goes in for the TD. The Saints should be taking note......

Believe it or not he is just Reggie Bush all over again the only difference is that he is at UL instead of USC.Look at the highlights from Reggie Bush and Elijah McGuire. I don't see anyone else who you can compare him to.

No way he even gets a mention.

I agree Spydaman, I was on the west coast while Bush was at USC. But Bush was only that effective because of Lyndell White.

Sure does resemble him in pads, only difference is Prophet ain't scared of contact. He knows when to put the juke move on the shelf and lower his shoulder pads.

Something that took Bush til 2013 to learn how to do… Too little too late for Bush… Someone queue up the gif of Elijah dragging that Nichols player and tell me Bush would do that… Otherwise I too agree, very similar skill set and very similar attributes, different mindset though, and that's why I think McGuire will have more success than Reggie Bush at the next level...

Thank you for pointing out the obvious reason he wouldn't get invited Turbine. If the fans that came on this board to complain about the stupid name calling crap non issue used that energy for write in campign to the Heisman committee. I guarantee they would vote for this guy just to get you guys to Please. In other words, just you nimrods have that much stroke. I tell you what. The NFL hall of fame isnt as difficult. But it's pretty damn difficult to get a player into. But a guy I know from Lafayette & talked about Ricky Jackson & wrote the sportswriters from Times Picayune enough times that eventually they got off their thrones of highness & nominated Ricky Jackson from the all time finalist list. Once he was officially nominated by Peter Finney, he was voted in immediately. It took Andre Tippett being voted in first. But Tippett was voted in, We were able to use his numbers to convince Finney's tight ___ to nominate him to the committee. Once Finney did that the rest was history. SO in a manner of speaking you could say two guys, & really one guy from Lafayette is responsible for getting Ricky Jackson into the HOF. And that's a true story. That guy is Horace from 1420 KPEL.

These people don't want slick big time marketing campaigns. They want to be convinced by a grass roots effort. IOW, they want the fans to be so convinced that they believe that it convinces the voters on the committee. But non belief never accomplished a damn thing in this, or any other world.
