5-1 bowl record for Louisiana
This sleazy plug Darrell Moody and his backhanded comments...
http://www.nevadaappeal.com/sports/c...gh-game-playedLouisiana-Lafayette won the New Orleans Bowl for the fourth straight time, which is a college football record. I feel sorry for the Cajuns. They never get the true bowl experience because they are playing in their own backyard. Nevada has now played in New Orleans, Hawaii and Idaho to name a few. At least the Pack has had a little bit of variety.
The butthurt flows strong west of the Rockies...
NEW ORLEANS – Well, the cannon's blue again.
That's about all the Nevada football team can take from a once-promising season that ended under a rain-soaked dome Saturday with an offensive thud unseen since 2009 — but a season seen frequently in the last decade.
Fourth quarter
A tackle for loss (four yards) by LB Bryan Lane Jr. leads to a 30-yard field goal by Stover, which gives UL its first two-score lead of the game at 13-3. The Wolf Pack finally moves the ball well, beginning with a 14-yard designed keeper by QB Cody Fajardo, but on fourth-and-10 from the UL 35, Fajardo's pass to Demps is broken up by CB Corey Trim. Louisiana stretches its lead to 16-3 with a 35-yard FG by Stover. With 3:48 to play, Nevada goes for it on fourth-and-7 from its own 42, but Fajardo's pass to Demps is incomplete. The Ragin' Cajuns miss a 36-yard field goal in the final minute, and the clock runs out on the Wolf Pack with a pair of sacks of Fajardo. LOUISIANA 16, NEVADA 3
Great, A Canadian paper calls us Louisiana....yet espn continues to show the leopard logo when referencing UL. Ditto with the idots who man the sports desk this bowl season.
All of 100 Nevada fans got to experience their bowl in New Orleans. I think the guy needs to reconsider Nevada's concept of "variety". In order to experience "variety"... you have to actually have the experience. I'll add one other thing to this nitwit's comment... 3 points is a "true bowl experience" we could do without.
