    According to this DB:

Sports fodder for a Friday morning ...The Nevada Wolf Pack should beat the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin Cajuns by three touchdowns in the New Orleans Bowl on Dec. 20. Yes, it will be just like a home game for the Ragin Cajuns, whose fans can jump in their pick-up trucks the morning of the game and get to the Superdome by kickoff. And we all know the Pack's 3-8 record in bowl games since joining Division I-A in 1992. But the Ragin Cajuns are by far the worst team the Pack has played in a bowl game. Central Florida (2005 Hawaii Bowl) owned that distinction but the Knights had future NFL players Brandon Marshall, Matt Prater, Kevin Smith and Josh Sitton. The Ragin Cajuns play in the Sun Belt, the only conference in America that would take ex-WAC patsies Idaho and New Mexico State. Cody Fajardo will do what Colin Kaepernick couldn't do in the Feb., 2013 Super Bowl — win a bowl game in the Superdome.

Now he can cover his as$ by writing that the Cajuns have future NFLers Hamilton, Ringo, and McGuire, and that they were fortunate that future NFLer Robinson was out for the season. It will save him from having to discuss the 3-9 and 4-0 bowl records.

Fox was the only national network to call us Louisiana. Looks like we just lost them too. It is now complete. We are UL Lafayette on every national network. Thanks to our Louisiana branding initiative.

This sleazy plug Darrell Moody and his backhanded comments...

Louisiana-Lafayette won the New Orleans Bowl for the fourth straight time, which is a college football record. I feel sorry for the Cajuns. They never get the true bowl experience because they are playing in their own backyard. Nevada has now played in New Orleans, Hawaii and Idaho to name a few. At least the Pack has had a little bit of variety.

  6. Default A bayou beat-down: Wolf Pack falls 16-3 to Cajuns

NEW ORLEANS – Well, the cannon's blue again.

That's about all the Nevada football team can take from a once-promising season that ended under a rain-soaked dome Saturday with an offensive thud unseen since 2009 — but a season seen frequently in the last decade.

After reading this guy ... we need to be thankful more than ever for the two beat writers we have. Talk about negativity ...

    Merry Christmas to All!

  8. Default New Orleans Bowl: Final Score Nevada: 3 Louisiana: 16

    Fourth quarter

A tackle for loss (four yards) by LB Bryan Lane Jr. leads to a 30-yard field goal by Stover, which gives UL its first two-score lead of the game at 13-3. The Wolf Pack finally moves the ball well, beginning with a 14-yard designed keeper by QB Cody Fajardo, but on fourth-and-10 from the UL 35, Fajardo's pass to Demps is broken up by CB Corey Trim. Louisiana stretches its lead to 16-3 with a 35-yard FG by Stover. With 3:48 to play, Nevada goes for it on fourth-and-7 from its own 42, but Fajardo's pass to Demps is incomplete. The Ragin' Cajuns miss a 36-yard field goal in the final minute, and the clock runs out on the Wolf Pack with a pair of sacks of Fajardo. LOUISIANA 16, NEVADA 3

All of 100 Nevada fans got to experience their bowl in New Orleans. I think the guy needs to reconsider Nevada's concept of "variety". In order to experience "variety"... you have to actually have the experience. I'll add one other thing to this nitwit's comment... 3 points is a "true bowl experience" we could do without.
