OK---we are coming in on Thursday ---flight to Omahaux and van to Lincoln----Tell me what to do so we can have FUN--best place to pick up chicks--lol--We are in the 50s 60s and 70s with the wives!!! Heard that there are some great beef rests!!!
Well I am actually only a Senior at UNL and there are a ton of things to do and see. I can tell you two things about your stay in Lincoln. 1. You don't have to be worried about supporting your team or any hostile areas as far as worrying about being a Ragin Cajun, we love out of town fans and love the company. I gaurentee you can sport your fan gear all weekend and you will be fine, although you may get some good conversations because the people of Lincoln are very welcoming. 2. There is a ton of good eats in Lincoln as well as shopping. I recommend Scheels if you want to see a store that is quite amazing and if you into hunting and fishing as I am you'll love the upper deck, although you may hate the lower part as its 100 percent nebraska apparel and tons of other nebraska stuff. If you need any certain specifics let me know Id be happy to let you know. The nebraska bookstore is one of my alltime favorites although you not being a nebraska fan it might not intrest you. The Campus is amazing and I would encourage you going through and taking in the tradition and the history. And since you probably remember the 90's youll really find it a special place. I hope you are welcomed and if you all are tailgating and see us in the big red husker tent and the 5 grills feel free to stop by and get some free food on us, we are making ribs, brisket, and some damn good steaks. O and roasted corn of course, but im sure you already assumed that

Football is about matchups and not rankings. The main problem for the Cajuns will be the Corn Husker lines, especially the offensive line that is big and strong and has played better then LSU's. The Huskers have always had a great tradition of linemen, but this group certainly is more athletic and big. Your skilled postion athletes as a group don't come close to LSU's speed. You have one really great back and wide reciever, that will demand attention.
On defense, I agree your line as a group is better then LSU's. But I disagree that your ends are faster then Aliem and that group at LSU. I watched Allen and Turner, both of them are good, but they don't get up the field as fast. Where Nebraska has the advantage on both sides of the ball is size and they are physical. The Huskers are way more physical then LSU on both sides of the ball and that could mean a lopsided win if the Cajuns don't execute and allow Nebraska to controll the ball.
The Cajuns have plenty enough speed to play defense against Nebraska, but cannot go head-to- head in a base defense. We will mix it up on defense and get after you. On offense, the Cajuns will have to throw the ball and work the run in with backs and the QB.
Overall, this is a bad matchup for the Cajuns when it comes to facing a Nebraska team coming off a loss and the 300th game sellout celebration. Nebraska is physical and big, and that is where the advantage will be on the field. The Cajuns will come out and get after it, so I'm sure how this game will play out. But I do hope Nebraska is looking at the Cajuns as a walk-over, that would be a mistake.
kshusker89,
A little off the subject, wish I could make it to Lincoln Saturday. Of course to watch the Huskers and Cajuns do battle. But also to check out the Nebraska/Texas volleyball matchup that afternoon. That should be epic.
Don't know if anyone saw these, but here is what some of the Nebraska people think of the Cajuns

What a bunch of "tools" where they find these 3 in the back of a cornfield....I didn't have a lot of emotion about this one after all the build up last week, but after hearing these 3 clowns laugh about us like we are some bottom-feeders I'm worked up for Saturday....
Geaux Cajuns, I'd really like to track these guys down next week and see there reactions when we put up big numbers against them!!!
These guys have their heads up each others a@@es, it is obvious that they are just repeating over and over what makes their fans feel good. They obviously did not watch any game tape of any of our games or they would not be so confident of a walk game for their team. If Nebraska is looking to their big 12 schedule and not at us it could be a good weekend for cajun fans
