The kid is from Cecilia, you don't need to fly there. It's a 20 minute drive from Lafayette.
You shouldn't have to consider an offer for a month on a kid that good. That type of procrastination is probably the reason our secondary is atrocious.
    Name police are fqn awesome!

HUD has been known to use a chopper, hoss. Is that considered flying where you come from?? BTW, Your unprovoked attacks are so cool, cajun.

Yes and some are very good----the problem has been their getting in school and being eligible--girlfriends, grades, homesick, discipline, etc----attrition to all the above reason has cost us greatly---Now this happens according to a recent topic at all schools and a sure thing---but have to give Cajun-T a lil shout out as we can follow the recruits with their leanings from the get go to the signing party in February---Its not BS hype as the ratings are nationally done so you can tell for the most part their stars---please lets not get into the star war deal!!!! lol

I'm pretty certain you are younger then me, but I've been watching Cajun football since 1975 and have been a season ticket holder as an adult since 1989. There have been a number of talented athletes that have played in this program, yet this staff is the only one to bring in enough to win four bowl games and actually play in one. In your live time you had never seen a bowl team at UL until this staff hit campus and you are going to tell me how myself and others are over hyping recruiting? Take your head out your ___ son, because you have never seen enough talent at UL during any stretch of its history to get to and win four consecutive bowl games.

I won't pretend that this staff has been perfect or has not made mistakes. Every staff has done so since 1970 or you would see more bowl banners hanging around the UL campus today. The bottom line is you have witnessed the greatest stretch of football in the history of this university under Mark Hudspeth. I won't say it has been a stretch without flaws or its ups and downs, but when someone lectures me about the lack of talent in this program right now and doesn't have the history to fall back to put things in context, I tend to give their statements about what someone else is selling very little credibility.
Dude I'm older than you and I'm telling you coach Stokley and Bustle feilded teams with way more talent than we have this year. The schedules were much tougher then also. Yeah Hud has done some great things but recruiting better players is not one of them sorry.

You are correct and here is why.

Stokley had 3,000 more athletes to cherry pick from, and 30 fewer teams to schedule against.

With Bustle it was more like 800 more players in the D1 recruiting pool and 8 fewer teams to schedule.

Right now the D1 talent poll is diluted and so is scheduling, especially in conference.

Going Independent or moving to a better conference are the only two sure fire methods to reverse the trend.

Given the numbers (approximations by the way) a 9-4 record today is just as big of an accomplishment as it would have been in the Stokley and Bustle eras.

It amazes me this dead ars horse gets beaten so much around here. TOPS is used in this manner by EVERY university in the state in EVERY program. It has nothing to do with your favorite local high school athletic star, or the "one that got away". Even if an instate player is "offered", if a player qualifies for TOPS, TOPS it is, a straight business decision.

It would have been a shame to miss out on a 'Zo Harris because a third string WR was local and TOPS qualified, and we used a scholarship instead of TOPS.

It's just that back side hurt time of year because "junior" isn't being recruited by UL.
