The Louisiana IceGators announced the signing of a highly coveted winger Frank Littlejohn. Frank Littlejohn began his hockey career in 1998 in the WPHL. Since that time, he has continued playing professionally for the last 10 years, playing in the AHL, ECHL, IHL and the UHL.

During his career Littlejohn has scored a total of 281 goals and has approximately 2,389 career penalty minutes. Brent Sapergia, President/General Manager, announced the signing, bringing the number of veterans on the roster to two. Sapergia claims, “Littlejohn will be an instant fan favorite and brings all the tools that you look for in a hockey player. He is the type of player that brings fans out their seats night after night and is a throwback to old school hockey and his skill, leadership, and fortitude are all stellar. Littlejohn is the type of player that shows up every night and leaves it all on the ice.”

The opposing teams in this league will again have to follow the IceGators’ lead and try to find a player that makes this kind of an impact. “Nobody, and I mean nobody, enjoys playing against Frank Littlejohn. He is going to be one of the top scorers in the league but is also tough enough to change the way opposing coaches approach their game plan against us,” said Sapergia.

Frank will also serve as the Player Assistant Coach working closely with Head Coach/Director of Hockey Operations Ron Handy as an extra set of experienced eyes both on the ice, as well as in the recruiting department.

Head Coach Ron Handy on meeting with Frank said, “he’s a quality individual that is going to be a huge asset in community as well as a proven leader in the dressing room. The Louisiana IceGators have taken a big step forward on achieving their goals this season with this signing. He’s the type of player that makes other players better,” said Coach Handy.
