Easy for you guys to say. I'll wager that the majority of your fans, perhaps not you personally, would be making the same complaint if a large percentage of LSU alums were supporting Bama, Ole, Miss, Tulane, or God forbid UL.
We've heard the excuses for years from these guys about why they turn their backs on their alma mater. We've heard all the excuses. First it was because we don't win. Well we were 2-0 going into this game but they were supporting our opponent. Other excuses have been that we don't play any interesting name opponents. We had a "name" in Big-12 opponent K-State but they preferred to go see State vs Vanderbilt. And when you point out that their support , especially financially, could help rectify that lack of wins we heard that they would not support UL until Doc A was gone. Well he's gone and now the excuse is they don't like Doc S. They'll always have an excuse but they will be the first to tell us that UL needs to be "big time". Well big time programs have big time, diehard alumni and fans not bandwagon fans of other teams. They are the problem. If they want to know why UL is not everything they want in a program they should look in the mirror.
