Thread: Ragin' Cajuns urge fans to travel to NOLA for 'home game'

  1. Default Ragin' Cajuns urge fans to travel to NOLA for 'home game'

Another ’Dome game. Another home game.

Such is the feeling for the UL football team, which on Saturday will face Nevada in its fourth straight New Orleans Bowl at the Superdome.

For some from Lafayette, the postseason trip east on Interstate 10 might be a getting a bit too familiar.

Come on Buckley, get that press-byopia checked out.

UL is more than just a "Lafayette" school, especially when it comes to fans.

Year before last, ECU game was an early morning event that was a record crowd. Something is off here.

Just like a new restaurant, Lafayette gets bored with it. Unfortunately, some people have been to more UL bowl games than home games in the last 4 years. The 4th year isn't as much as an event as the first 2 or 3. Saints were also on the road that weekend.

I know a number of people that have been to the last few bowls that aren't going to this one unfortunately. But these people are the same ones that have been to exactly 1 or 2 UL games, the last 2 bowl games ... in the last 10 years probably (or ever). But I don't know anyone that actually goes to home games even every once in a while though that isn't going.

And myself this year I've got a few relatives (on my wife's side that are purple/gold fans (with UL degrees of course) that we're brining along with us. We are helping them to see the light a little bit at a time.
