Kudos to the bowl peeps. Like a week ago, they announced a discount on the Pelicans game that night http://www.neworleansbowl.org/news/b...ticle_id=21484

Plus, they've been pushing a Run, getting lots of locals with kids interested. And like Just1More says, hitting companies up to get tickets.

Thats cool, but I think he was talking about tickets to the NOB, not the Saints game.

@TDARaginCajuns: Ticket sales through UL for Saturday's New Orleans Bowl game vs. Nevada sit around 11,000: http://bit.ly/1ssbjmn

In that case if there were some incentive in it for the saints I'm sure they'd do it. They try to sell us basketball tickets. They didn't before Benson owned the basketball team.

What is our allotted amount we are required to sell to hold up our end of the obligation for our payout

    Default Only 10,900 tix sold?

What do you think the reason is for the slow ticket sales compared to the other 3 years?

    A) 10 am kickoff
    B) Been there done that
    C) XMAS/money
    D) other

10 am kickoff is a killer. Put a bowl on TV at 10 am that no one attends.

I also think large groups have found that they can get tickets together for $10 a pop buying through various outlets in New Orleans.....

I'm not saying that we will have 40k+ as in the past, but I would attribute SOME of the hit in sales to this.

If we are being 100% honest and real, a lot of people, myself NOT included, think that the Cajuns secondary will get their ____ pushed in by Nevada and the Cajuns will lose this trip to NOLA. Add this thought process in with the fact that hotel prices are jacked due to the Saints game, the "been there done that 3 times now" attitude and the 10 am start time, I can kinda see where the here and there Cajun fan might not make the trip as compared to years past.

I have also always believed that Lafayette is very fleeting with their sporting support in that if it is hot, then everyone in Lafayette wants a piece (See Icegators, Cajuns baseball 2014 as compared to 2013, etc). Maybe it is just my experience but this year the New Orleans hasn't been made out to be the "hot ticket" as it was in years past. Not saying this is the case, but food for thought.
