Damn straight I'm going, and I even ADDED peeps to my entourage this year, someone has to pick up the slack around here!
I understand every situation is different. I no longer make the money I did as a soldier and I treat my brothers to this game the last three years, room, meals, transportation and game tickets I even supply the alcohol. This is not to boost but if this game was in another city I might not be able to afford it well they wouldn't go I would. Now saying that I have no little kids just grandkids so it makes it easier for us to go from Thursday to Sunday and yes we are going and I'm treating but they all joined the RCAF this year so I'm proud of them.
Excuse me. I haven't read in a while & forgot your "special" brand of humor. Okay. I get it. But for those others who may not get it. Try to rent a room in a decent hotel anywhere in Dallas 7 see what it cost. Much less the price of a drink. Some places in Dalls have it where you have to join a club just to get a drink in the restaurant. It cost like 10-20 dollars to get your first drink. Plus depending on where you stay in Dallas part of the city is dry. Nothing is conveniet to get to in a city like Dallas or Atlanta. And both of those towns are anywhere from 30-100% more expensive to stay in. Not to mention the base price of the tickets is usually more expensive also. The New Orleans bowl is much cheaper to attend than a Saints game for that matter.
The ones fussing about New Orleans again..... Think they would show up in mobile or wherever else?
No. I haven't bought my tickets yet because I was working during the early ticket drive & I can't determine where my seats will be. When they finish releasing the tickets, I'll buy the best seats available. I can say this though. There must be a lot of tickets being bought, because you can't even buy them on line yet from ticketmaster. So there must be a lot of interest in this game. I have no doubt I will get tickets. I'm just not sure where they'll be, or what I'll have to pay. It looks as though the brokers have bought a major portion of the tickets looking to capitalize ont he resale (scalping) market.
I wonder if our fan base would get tired of going to the Sugar Bowl or Cotton Bowl four years in a row? After all, it would be going to the same city 4 years in a row! We better enjoy the ride while it lasts. After all, there will be years in the future when we are sitting home and wishing we would be in NOLA!
