I think what you see this year will be more in line with what our true demand and expectations can be set at. The previous bowls were attended by "party" fans more than Cajun fans. I know several people who have never gone to a home game that attended the bowl games.

I also know numerous people who attend every home game yet are choosing to go duck hunting this weekend. Not saying their bad fans but if we cant get our regular fans to attend, I will never expect our fan base to grow beyond its current size.

In a weird way the invitation delay, the App State and McNeese losses all compounded into buzz kill for the New Orleans bowl.

I think it is the best thing going.

ps I know one was basketball, there was just an aura at the wrong time.

I have had 8 tickets every year until this one. Of the 8 only three are people I would consider 'fans'. The other five are New Orleans junkies who used the game as an excuse to spend the weekend in the Big Sleazy.

How many tickets were sold thru UL? The last number I saw was 11,900 last weekend.
