This is the first bowl where UL fans were fully aware beforehand, that all their bowl money was not going to UL.

----T-Bine can you go over where the money comes from and all the expense part---I see where Nevada is cutting every corner possible but from what I remember all we didn't spend on bowl expenses went back to the conference to cover other teams' expenses!!!

So here is my ticket question, I preface by saying charter RCAF member All Cajun level, season tickets football, basketball, and baseball, alumni association member. I have seats, 6 in section 314 this year. I just spoke to a friend who is not RCAF, no season tickets. He submitted online for tickets, he is sitting Plaza level 40 yard line 4 seats. How is this possible?

Even with lower numbers, our numbers will still be good.

Some folks just have different priorities this year. Not better, or worse, just different.

I'm not going to fault folks who don't wanna go. I'm not going, and I plan on watching it at home. Probably with some Meche's doughnuts in hand. Personally, I don't feel like (a) dealing with New Orleans, (b) winding up with a bad seat, (c) paying an outrageous price for a hotel, or (d) driving to Nola and back for the bowl. Think I'm a bad fan for doing that? Check my RCAF donations and steady ticket purchases over the past 30 years or so. I put my money where my mouth is.

I'm also not gonna knock the fact we are going to the New Orleans Bowl. Sure, I wouldn't mind a different bowl, but if we are still getting even a little bang for our buck with Nola, heck, go every year (unless, of course, we wind up in a playoff.... which I don't see happening any time soon). But it really didn't matter where we wound up this year, I had decided after last year's Bowl I probably would not attend. That's not meant as a slight to the team, school, fans, or even the site. I just didn't feel like attending in person, particularly in light of other personal things I have going on this year. Despite the excitement of being actually AT the game, I have found I can also enjoy them from my couch.

I think we just need to get over whatever shortage in attendance we have, and have our fun with the game in whatever form it is in, and celebrate the attention we get in any way we get it.

You're a grown man, so I don't care what you do. But it sounds like your A, B,C, D list of reasons for not going had absolutely nothing to do with your decision. Sounds like you just pretty much wanna sit on your couch, which there's nothing wrong with that.

My only thing is when die-hards like you who donate to RCAF, buy season tickets and attend every event start to feel this way, our program will never grow past what we've currently got.

    Maybe on the visitor side?

Yeah, but we are all on the visitor side. I looked at the tickets, they are on the Cajuns side between the 35 and 40 Plaza level. My complaint is that my tickets have gotten worse year to year and a non priority person received better tickets through the athletic department buying them yesterday.
