Another bowl win would put UL in unique group

Before the 2014 college football season began, the hopes of some fans for the UL Ragin’ Cajuns were extremely high.

There was talk of 12-0, or at least 10-2, and going to a more prestigious bowl.

Then came the 1-3 start and depression set in.

Pretty much sums up my stance. Disappointed that we lost bad in 3 straight and dropped a game to App St? Yes. Disappointed in our program as a whole over the last 4 years? No way.

I am totally unhappy that our level of wins and losses remain the same. Remember we were projected to be the worst FBS team.in Hud's first season.

Additionally our loses, the quality or effectivness of those loses have not improved one iota. In other words we stank about the same rate all four seasons.

I do take pride that we have not moved backwards.

Now we seem to coach like we are way more talented. i think the players respond better to coaches who show a little guts in their play calling. No but I think we would better served by coaching/playing with the mentality that HUD had when we got here. It's just an observation. Stop putting words in my mouth.

I see teams like East Carolina, that we beat in NO Bowl, getting wins against big schools like Virginia Tech, North Carolina, etc. and I have to wonder why haven't we made that kind of progress? Why can't we get the "Big" win?

I'm not disappointed in the season, or the way the team turned it around after the 1-3 start, but would like to see us making steps forward and not staying at the same level.
