UL has learned the identity of its 2014 postseason opponent. The 8-4 Ragin' Cajuns will face Nevada of the Mountain West in the Dec. 20 New Orleans Bowl.
Congrats to the team, coaches, fans, and University.
This will be our toughest bowl game in History. Nevada is a respected program.
Geaux Cajuns!
Very few opponents could get me excited about this game, but Nevada is one of them. They'll have our attention. Should be an exciting game.
And Decoster.

This is a VERY difficult opponent, just look at their schedule and you can tell. We will need to play at the level we did against stAte to be able to win this game. That said, I do like what our coaching staff has been able to accomplish over the past few seasons when given time to prepare. Lets geaux, for in a reaux!
Anyone have a link to the Nevada message board? It's always fun to read the uncommon opponents' points of view
good luck Cajuns

"Cody Fajardo is our QB. He is a four year starter and only the second QB in history to be in the 9,000 (yards passing) 3,000 (yards rushing club)..Fajardo is typically a good passing quarterback, but he hasn't done much in that area the last few games. He had an awful senior night against Fresno (along with the rest of the team, hence why they're currently headed to New Orleans), and only went 5 of 13 for 46 yards (albeit with four total TDs) in his last game. His top receiver sustained a concussion against Air Force and is done for the year, and Fajardo apparently had some injury of his own the week of the UNLV game, so those might be the reasons why.
He's also three yards shy of a 1,000-yard rushing season, and is the second player in FBS history to finish his career with 9,000 passing yards and 3,000 rushing yards (Kap being the other)."
Really looking forward to this one, should be a very good game.
