This maybe the strongest argument in favor of Common Core yet.

It was more than W/L with Pellini. He made some pretty caustic comments publicly about Cornhusker Fans and had a generally abrasive personality. His temper was such that he made comments and then wished he hadn't at a later time.

This is true. The question then becomes, an abrasive a-hole that wins, or a nicer guy who may or may not? Apparently, Nebrasks chose the latter.

That said, this is the same myopic university that canned one of the nice guys in all of coaching (Frank Solich) after averaging 9.7 wins a season in 6 years. So again, I hope they fall flat on their faces.

Saban is reputed to have an abrasive personality as well. I don't think Alabama is stupid enough to trade that for a nice guy.

And if Nebraska is looking for a nice guy, they should contact Rickey Bustle. He was a nice guy and the stewardesses love his players. Let's see how long Nebraska fans want to hear that.

    Sounds like he's FIU material.
