Agreed + 1 - Dude down at BR A&M has 103 wins in 10 years (average of 10/year) and they wanna fire him every week!! I keep hoping they will, so the same thing can happen to them!

They only follow them because they win, they can watch them from the comfort of their living room and they hope they can brag about supporting a national champion! They do not follow them when they lose, because they went there, or for any other logical reason. Not counting their actual graduates here. If the saints had not sucked for 40 years, most of those hanger oners (sp) would be following the saints and would not give a ____ about L A&M! Sadly, I catch myself saying that we need more wins if we are going to pay someone a million dollars!
I was wondering! If someone hires Hud away, do you think Pelini would come here for a million and try to redeam himself? Of course, there are some young 1AA coaches out there with that young fire still in their eyes!

This maybe the strongest argument in favor of Common Core yet.

It was more than W/L with Pellini. He made some pretty caustic comments publicly about Cornhusker Fans and had a generally abrasive personality. His temper was such that he made comments and then wished he hadn't at a later time.

This is true. The question then becomes, an abrasive a-hole that wins, or a nicer guy who may or may not? Apparently, Nebrasks chose the latter.

That said, this is the same myopic university that canned one of the nice guys in all of coaching (Frank Solich) after averaging 9.7 wins a season in 6 years. So again, I hope they fall flat on their faces.

Saban is reputed to have an abrasive personality as well. I don't think Alabama is stupid enough to trade that for a nice guy.

And if Nebraska is looking for a nice guy, they should contact Rickey Bustle. He was a nice guy and the stewardesses love his players. Let's see how long Nebraska fans want to hear that.

    Sounds like he's FIU material.
