This probably means that CST-produced broadcasts will be blacked out locally on ESPN3. That stinks for those of us who don't have access to CST.

CST reaches from Tx/Ok all the way to Virginia. I don't mind if it's blacked out locally, that is an insane amount of exposure. Although a much smaller scale, the Braves and Cubs gained a massive following with their TBS/WGN TV deals in the 80's.

Good move by Farmer if he can get it done. It will help restore some opf the damage done by Karl in his deal with ESPN. I guess I didnt m ake it clear to Arl that the point if renegotiation was to get a better deal

If this happens, it will be one of the biggest coups by the administration. It will offset some of the problems of not having as good a TV deal as CUSA. Now we may not make much money on this, but the exposure will well be worth it. Think about it, a mid major having basically it's own TV deal that goes to 17 states. Additionally, it will be virtually year round exposure due to our strong spring sports. That exposure will help football in the long run. Let's hope we can get some local business to buy advertising in these telecasts. That could really set us up as university funds would the other area mid-majors, regardless of which conference we are in.

I agree Mike! If this gets done then The Lafayette media market is a pimple on our market exposures a.s.s.

I'd hope games get blacked out locally too, so we fill stands more and have a tv market!
