Yes it does. You will see more and more attitudes change if we keep winning. If we don't win then "FIRE BUSTLE"!

On paper, I just don't feel like we can possibly win with their superior talent and depth. In my heart I will hope for a win. I will cheer like hell at the game too, but 17 points seems optimistic since we have never scored a touchdown at tiger stadium. However, they are not in championship form this year, and we have some confidence and experience going into this game so I would like to think it could be a close game for at least 3 quarters. If we come to play and they get lazy maybe we can scare them. But we can't have a turnover margin and almost no points in the second half and expect to be competitive. 38-13 LSU is my much begrudged pick. I love my team, but I live in the real world. 21 -10 at halftime but they wear us down and get a defensive td late to push up the score.

This is a money game, plain and simple. Should LSU blow us out? yes. If we can get out of the next two games with minimal injuries, I'll be happy with any score. There is a difference between being a fan and being a realistic fan. I would love to see the cajuns get a win in tiger stadium, hell I told my girlfriend that if we won I would probably be MIA for a couple of days because I would be losing my s H i T! But realisticly are we going to win? Probably no. NO INJURIES = Victory in my book.

I don't believe you should go into a game thinking there is no way you can win. I know it will be a small miracle but they do happen. "Do you believe in miracles"?

You are confusing fans with players. If our players are going into games with the thought that they will lose even though they know the odds are long of a victory, you have the wrong players in uniform. However, as fans it seems pretty logical in the course of things to understand that you just don't have the talent to match up to a team like LSU and that a loss and a rather large one can be accepted. As long as our players keep playing and don't quit and show some sack, I'm happy to get out with minimal injuries.

As I previously said. There are some fans that can't see the forest for the trees, then others that can look at a schedule and say "99.9% chance we won't win that one." It doesn't make me less of a fan or any less supportive of the cajuns. Again, do I want to win? Of course. Do I think we will win? no.

    No Injuries = win.

Beating LSU and going 5-7 does nothing for me. I'm thinking bowl game.

I agree. But, I may be wrong or stupid for this, or not living in the real world... but what were the chances of APP state beating Michigan (oh, but they sucked that year huh... App state de-railed them)? Not saying it's gonna happen, but I WILL not say it won't. I hope we play strong, and come out with a "W". Regardless, I do not want any injuries. Even if it's a 5% chance that we win, I'd rather be on the 5% side, and if it does'nt happen, just drink a cold one and look forward to next week. If we win, even if the stars & moon have to be aligned just right, I will be happy people called me "unrealistic". If you don't think the players read this board, your wrong. Go Cajuns and Good luck next week!!!!!!

Okay lets lay out the "miracle".

Raw talent wise the Tigers are a better team but as noted that isn't always good enough. The talent position to position isn't that great a differential but as a whole over the course of a game it adds up. In this case on the scoreboard.

So what happens to create a win for the Cajuns.

    CAJUNS

    1. Can't turn the ball over. I think this is the biggest thing any team can do to improve their odds. Whatever happens the Cajuns can't turn the ball over. At times I was dissappointed that Masson didn't do a little bit more against K-State but he will have to take that same type of attitude against LSU. Protect against all cost. Don't try and stretch things.

    2. Defense has to stop the big plays and slow the game down. LSU is going to score. Just keep them from doing it quickly and easily. Think about K-State. They dominated us in time of possession but still lost the game. We made them work for every yard they got.

    LSU

    1. They have to have some miscues. The Cajuns need to be +2 or +3 in the turnovers. See above. This is where the special teams for the Cajuns could play a big role.

    2. LSU offensively can be taken out of their game but our cornerbacks are going to have to step up big time. See turnovers in #1 above. I think we can effect the run up front pretty well if we play up to our potential. Keep in mind we aren't going to stop them. We just need to slow them down.

In regards to the lets don't get a bunch of injuries. As someone else noted this really should not be a concern. Physically these teams don't differ that much. It's not like were sending in a new featherweight against the heavyweight title holder. They have an overall better talent level that I think everyone understands but we aren't putting a bunch of elementary school boys on the field. Physically the Cajuns can hold their own.

If anyone here thinks it can't be done think about baseball and the 2000 super regionals.

i remember as an avid Baltimore oriole fan knowing that there was no way the mets could beat us in a world series. I remember as a houston oiler fan that we could nopt lose to the buffalo bills in the second half of that playoff game. I can even remember thinking that the rockets could not blow two home games in houston to the suns and come back to win. I would bet that no one gave central michigan a prayer against michigan state just this weekend, so yea anything is possible. I believe if all things go well and lsu does not clean up their game then the cajuns do have a chance, better than ever before.
    Go Cajuns 28-27

Touchdownless streak in tigger stadium ends! Defense looks good and holds strong for 2.5 quarters.
